Viết năm 1998 cho 5 nhạc cụ cổ truyền Việt Nam: sáo, nhị, nguyệt, tranh, và bộ gõ. Trình tấu lần đầu tại thính đường Nhạc Viện Hà Nội năm 1998. Các bè nhạc diễn tiến như một cuộc trao đổi giữa bạn bè, trong đó, nguyên tắc chủ yếu là “cho-và-nhận” một cách ngẫu nhiên. Nhạc phẩm này có ứng dụng một số nét nhạc tài tử Nam bộ.

Written in 1998 for Vietnamese traditional instruments and percussion (first performed at Hanoi Conservatory Concert Hall, Vietnam, 1998).
“The five performing instruments are sáo (bamboo flute), nhị (two-string bowed lute), nguyệt (moon lute), tranh (16-string zither), and bộ gõ (traditional vietnamese percussions). The five players proceed in a manner similar to a conversation within a circle of close friends, in which spontaneous “give-and-takes” function as a guiding principle. In this composition I incorporate several aspects of the Southern nhạc tài tử(traditional chamber music).”
